Tagging Pages and Users

How to tag pages and users when composing a post in the Social Assurance platform.

When tagging users and pages in the Social Assurance Marketing Platform, you'll want to separate your post by channel. In many cases, page/user handles will differ between platforms. Continue reading below for instructions on tagging for each platform.*

*Note: LinkedIn's API does not allow tagging at this time.

TAGGING ON FACEBOOK

To tag a page/user on Facebook, begin by typing an "@" followed by the name of the account you are tagging. As you start typing the page's name, a dropdown will appear where you can select the page/user you want to tag.

Once the page you want to tag shows up, select it from the dropdown. If the tag is applied correctly, you should see it highlighted in red.

Upon publishing, your tag should look like the below screenshot:

TAGGING ON INSTAGRAM

To tag a user or page on Instagram, type their Instagram handle into the "Your Message" box the exact way it appears on Instagram.

Once your post publishes on Instagram, the tag will be applied to the post.

TAGGING ON TWITTER

To tag a user or page on Twitter, type their handle into the "Your Message" box the exact way it appears on Twitter.

Once your post publishes on Twitter, the tag will be applied to the post.
